Role Summary

Within the RDUH Neurology Department at based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse or Allied Healthcare Professional (AHP) to expand and develop clinical skills in the management of patients experiencing dystonia and spasticity.

The role offered is 1 day per week on a fixed-term month basis and is an ideal secondment opportunity.

The post holder will undertake assessment and treatment with botulinum toxin for patients presenting with complex symptoms resulting from dystonia and spasticity.







The postholder will have a working knowledge of alternative treatments to managing dystonia and spasticity, including pain and self-management and be able to signpost or carry out as required.

The postholder will evaluate service needs to ensure, safe, effective delivery of care, leading on service development of the non-medical injector service for dystonia and spasticity, further developing evidence-based assessments and outcome measures.

Working Pattern : 1 day per week
