Key Responsibilities:
- Individualized Support: Work closely with students with special educational needs to provide one-on-one support tailored to their unique requirements.
- Assistive Technology: Utilize assistive technology and resources to enhance the learning experience for students with disabilities.
- Inclusive Learning:
Collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt and modify lessons to accommodate students with SEN, ensuring an inclusive and accessible curriculum.
- Behavioral Support: Implement strategies for behavior management and create a supportive and respectful classroom environment.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor and record students' progress and achievements, communicating effectively with parents and caregivers.
- Personal Care: Provide personal care and assistance to students with physical disabilities or medical needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with students with SEN is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
- Patience, empathy,
and a genuine commitment to fostering the well-being and development of students with special needs.
- Knowledge of relevant assistive technologies and resources.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
