We’re looking for someone passionate about compliance and ready to dive into a diverse role within a prestigious full-service law firm in London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone currently working as an assistant, ready to take on a wider role with a broader range of responsibilities and greater exposure to various regulatory functions.
As a Risk & Compliance Assistant, you’ll tackle a wide array of tasks across risk management, compliance,
and legal processes alongside fee-earners and senior leadership, and give you the chance to contribute to the firm’s continued success. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on and is ready to collaborate closely with teams across the firm, as it will require five days a week in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key point of contact for compliance queries, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met across the firm
- Support in the identification of new compliance risks and assist in the development of necessary changes to policies and procedures
- Monitor and manage the Risk & Compliance inbox, escalating queries as needed
- Conduct client risk assessments and assist with due diligence processes
- Proactively assess changes in the regulatory environment and how these may impact the firm's operations
- Collaborate with various teams and departments on compliance-related projects
- Ensure compliance regarding insurance renewals, third-party screening, and IT projects
- Manage the administration of compliance records and help implement information barriers
- Analyse conflict search results, identifying potential legal or commercial conflicts and supporting the subsequent resolution
We’re looking for candidates with strong analytical skills, an eye for detail, and a drive to embrace greater responsibilities. You should be proactive, confident in managing your workload, and comfortable addressing compliance queries across the firm. A passion for problem-solving and the ability to communicate regulatory issues clearly to various teams are essential.
