Rutherford Cross is delighted to partner with a dynamic, Glasgow-based business to recruit a Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to make a real impact by identifying business needs, designing, and implementing innovative solutions. The Financial Accountant will play a key role in transforming processes and driving the finance team forward to meet evolving business objectives.

This role would ideally suit a part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with strong analytical skills, who is ready to step up into a varied and exciting position. There is also the option for study support to be considered for the right candidate towards gaining their full professional qualification.







Role Responsibilities:

- Business partnering with non-finance colleagues in various operating companies within the group
- Involvement in month-end management accounts provision
- Raising and/or approving bank payment transactions
- Preparation or review of journal entries
- Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
- Providing support to finance colleagues for other regular and ad hoc activities

Requirements:

- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experienced in working with and building data, reporting and forecasting models in Finance systems
- Have advanced analytical skills to build robust reporting and analysis models
- Be passionate about making improvements with a strong focus on delivery
- Have a collaborative approach to working with end users to understand requirements and to pass on essential skills to enable the long-term maintenance and development of the processes
- Be experienced with NetSuite (desired)
- Experience of using Excel Power Queries (desired)
