Job Title: Junior Project Manager – Data and Information Maturity Programme
Day Rate: £250 per day
Location: London or Birmingham (1 day in the office per week)
Contract Type: 6 months
Overview:
The Data and Information Maturity Programme is entering its third phase after 18 months of progress. The programme's goal is to elevate the organisation's data capabilities to Level 4 Maturity, treating data as a strategic asset and embedding a data-driven culture throughout the organisation. The next phase focuses on critical areas like Information Asset Management, Master Data Management, Document Management, Archiving & Retention, and Analytics/AI. The Junior Project Manager will support the continued implementation of these deliverables,
coordinating various workstreams to help achieve further maturity in the targeted areas.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support Project Delivery:
- Assist the Senior Project Manager in the execution and embedding of Phase 3, ensuring the progress from previous phases continues to mature.
1. Project Planning:
- Help develop, update, and maintain project plans to align with the overall goals of the Data Maturity Programme.
1. Administrative Support:
- Organize and schedule project meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes for governance or data quality assessments.
1. Task Management:
- Oversee smaller project workstreams, ensuring tasks are completed on time and resources are appropriately allocated.
1. Stakeholder Management:
- Liaise with internal teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners to ensure consistent alignment and smooth execution of programme objectives.
1. Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify potential project risks and issues,
supporting mitigation efforts to ensure deliverables are met within scope.
1. Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure project documentation is updated and progress is tracked. Prepare reports and presentations for senior stakeholders detailing project achievements and milestones.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Project Management Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in project management or coordination, ideally within data or IT-related projects.
- Data Management Knowledge:
- Familiarity with data governance, information management, or data-related initiatives is preferred.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and project reporting.
- Organisational Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and project deliverables simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving:
- Capable of identifying project risks/issues and supporting their resolution.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of MS Project for planning and tracking tasks.
