ECHO HOUSE FABRICATION PROJECT MANAGER

Reporting to: The Directors and the Fabrication & Design manager

Scope of the Role:

Fabrication project managers play a key role in the management of jobs and projects at every level at Echo House. Liaising directly with the wider project management team and interpreting briefs to a language that the studio and production teams can understand, Fabrication project managers follow each and every job throughout the company ensuring our products and services are delivered on time and on point.





Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential to ensuring effective co-ordination of high-quality work while under the pressures of time and budgets.

Main Duties AND Responsibilities:

- Fabrication project and production management.
- Resolving customer issues to their satisfaction.
- To oversee prototyping and manage production of large bespoke live projects, whether being produced In-house or externally.
- To act as the primary link between the Fabrication department and the wider project management team to ensure that live projects are communicated effectively and efficiently, through the factory and that customer issues are resolved to their satisfaction.






- Receiving briefs from clients/staff and interpreting them into fabrication orders.
- Taking ownership of fabrication projects and ensuring that the correct departments are fully consulted, informed, engaged with, and are instructed.
- Attending installs and manage on-site builds, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring company policies are followed.
- Ensuring Health and Safety policies are followed.

Job Management

- Quoting jobs on our MIS system.
- Translating orders into a brief for the design, studio, production, packing and installation teams, including spreadsheet and presentation preparation.
- Liaising with our studio, manufacturing, dispatch, and installation teams to ensure jobs and projects are on track and feedback to clients/project managers, their status.






- Liaising with external suppliers to ensure jobs and projects are on track and feedback to clients/project managers, their status.
- Preparing installation briefs for bespoke jobs.
- Following jobs through the factory, ensuring the smooth transition of project manufacture.
- Translating projects for the ease of manufacturers understanding, this may include drawing for presentation and/or machining.

Core Knowledge Base:

- Limited CAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative suite knowledge.
- Limited tool and machining knowledge
- Good knowledge of engineering science and technologies.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
- Excellent media knowledge with emphasis on sustainability and waste management.
- Excellent understanding in deciphering technical packs submitted from external sources.






- Excellent resourcing knowledge.
- A good knowledge of the retail sector.
- Knowledge of systems, policies and procedures.
- Experience in retail visual merchandising is ideal.

ESSENTIAL INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS:

- Excellent time management.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying nature simultaneously.

DESIRABLE INDIVIDUAL CHARACTERISTICS:

- Customer Service experience is an ideal grounding for this role.
- Experience in retail visual merchandising is ideal.
- A good knowledge of the retail sector.
- Knowledge of the print industry is an advantage.
- CAD, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Cloud experience is a bonus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying natures, simultaneously.

clients and suppliers.
