Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Lead Administrator with strong Line management, administration and computing skills to join our friendly and supportive Community Nursing Team.
The Hospice Community Nursing Teams provide palliative care support to adult patients and the people that are important to them at home.
This role is a full-time position, working 9am to 5pm each day, predominantly Monday to Friday however flexibility to work weekends and Bank Holidays is a must and the role is based at the hospice in Brentry.
Purpose of the role :
- To provide comprehensive administration support to the community nursing teams Access, Community Nurse Specialist and Hospice at Home teams.
- To oversee and deliver an effective and competent level of administration and consistently ensure a patient focused service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.
- To line manage community nursing administrators and provide support and guidance for matters that are escalated to them by the clinical teams.
Daily tasks include (but not limited to) -
- Talking to patients, families, and health professionals on the phone
- Completing outcomes from clinicians
- Accepting and processing referrals into the service
- Using EMIS Electronic Patient Record
- Using Microsoft Office word, outlook, excel and Teams
- Creating and updating rosters to ensure safe staffing levels
- Producing and providing reports to Service Delivery Manager for auditing purposes
Applicants should be excellent communicators and must have the ability to deal efficiently with the general public, NHS colleagues and other health and social care providers.
In addition,
it is a necessity that applicants have a high standard of IT skills, have a positive approach to customer care and be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team whilst working without direct supervision and managing their own workload.
