Job description
OneMK PCN is looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join their teams in Milton Keynes and make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients registered with our GP Practices.
Since September 2023, OneMedical Group has delivered excellent care services to patients and communities across 3 sites in Milton Keynes : Brooklands Health Centre, Whitehouse Surgery and Neath Hill Health Centre.
As an Advanced Nurse / Clinical Practitioner, you will have experience within a primary care setting and your high standards of patient care will naturally inspire those you work with.
In addition to standard nursing duties, the Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP)
role is accountable in conjunction with the Lead Nurse for the clinical governance of the practice and is designed to provide clinical leadership in the practice, in order to ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of services to all patients.
Among others, the Advanced Nurse / Clinical Practitioner is expected to :
Essential Requirements :
- Be registered with current NMC / HCPC / GPhC registration
- Have a MSc in Advanced Practice or equivalent qualification
- Be a certified Independent Prescriber
- Be proficient in managing whole episodes of care, whilst being part of a larger MDT
- Strong communication skills, patience and friendly attitude
- Work productively in a high pressured environment with a can do attitude
Desirable Requirements
Primary care experience as well as experience in minor illness management

Brooklands Health Centre is located in the Milton Keynes suburb of Broughton.
It boasts good transport links being just a 5 minute walk away from the nearest bus stop.
The bus itself takes around 20-25 minutes from Brooklands to the City Centre. It's also well connected to the M1 being under 2 miles away from the nearest entry junction.
Whitehouse Surgery is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built Health Centre, open to all Milton Keynes residents. We are located along the V4, between the H3 and H4, with ample parking.
Our team offer the highest levels of care, as well as tailoring services to suit patients’ health and wellbeing needs. Whitehouse Surgery is made up of GPs, Practice Nurses, Health Coaches, Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and Mental Health Workers, with further support from our PCN including First Contact Physiotherapists and Drugs / Alcohol Support in house.
Our non-clinician team is made up of our practice’s Business Manager, Senior Administrator, and Receptionist team, with support from Medical Secretaries and Clinical Coders working in a centralised hub.
