Job description
You will be accountable for the planning and execution of our projects to the defined scope, cost and programme to meet our Client’s requirements.
You will get the opportunity to develop your career with us, working on flood, coastal and maritime projects for our clients including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and local authorities.
We undertake feasibility studies to select optimum solutions; prepare business cases to unlock funding; design cost-efficient schemes using the latest digital technologies;
provide construction supervision and administrative support; and advise on how to best manage and extend the life of our clients’ assets.
We will provide all relevant training,
development and support so that you may further your engineering career. We are a diverse and energetic team and you will play a key role in contributing to our team’s and companies’ success.
About the Role
- Proactively manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements driving improvement on medium to high complexity projects.
- Leadership of the overall coordination and production of multi-disciplinary projects in flood, coastal and maritime
- Excellent communication and organisation skills to interact with colleagues, clients, joint venture partners and stakeholders
- Provides mentoring and guidance to Junior project managers in all commercial aspects of project delivery.
- Carries out Earned Value Analysis to monitor project performance and produce accurate monthly cost and spend profiles
Essential Requirements
- Professional qualification in Project Management and / or an engineering discipline
- Previous experience in a project management role on projects using the NEC suite of contracts
- Experience of working on flood risk management or similar projects
- Proven ability to plan, execute, monitor and control projects in terms of scope, time, cost, quality, resource, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management
