Job description

In your role as a social worker, you are tasked with providing professional and comprehensive casework to children and young people who need support and guidance.

You must uphold the highest professional standards and ensure you are well-versed in relevant legislation, regulations, and practice methods.

This knowledge is crucial for you to effectively advocate for and assist the young individuals in your care

Key Responsibilities :

- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate safeguarding needs for children in need, including those at risk of significant harm.
- Work within the guidelines of the Children’s Services Framework and the national legislation.






- Provide support and guidance to children and families to promote positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all case interactions and decisions.
- Collaborate with other professionals, agencies, and services to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to child welfare.
- Participate in regular supervision sessions and team meetings to ensure best practice.
- Contribute to service development through feedback and involvement in projects and working groups.

Qualifications :

- A degree in social work and registration with a relevant professional body.
- Extensive experience in children’s social care.
- A strong understanding of child development and the impact of abuse and neglect.
