The Role
We are looking for an inspiring History Teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons that engage and motivate students. The successful candidate will be passionate about History and design, and committed to providing a stimulating and supportive environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage and support students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Engage in continuous professional development.
Requirements :
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in History or a related subject.
- Experience teaching History at secondary level is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for History and a commitment to student success.
Desirable :
- Experience in organising and leading extracurricular History activities.
- Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
