Job description Role : Legal Counsel (f / m / d)Location : UKWe are looking for an Employment Counsel to join our high calibre and friendly EMEA employment law team based in Canary Wharf, London, UK.
You can be based outside of London, but you should be able to commute to the Canary Wharf office, London, from time to time as required.
You will work with the EMEA employment law team as well as the wider global employment law team on the full life cycle of employment law matters including but not limited to : TUPE deal supportAcquired Rights Directive matters.
Advising on day-to-day UK and EMEA employment law matters.Various EMEA-wide cross border issues.Litigation.Compensation & Benefits Policy review and HR Policy review.
Knowledge buildingThis role is very broad in scope and can vary on a day-to-day basis depending on what our business requires.
We are looking for someone who is a team player’, enjoys a challenge, wants to work in a fast moving and fluid environment and who works well with people across cultures and geographies.
Not only does the role cover all EMEA countries but requires working regularly with our offshore teams around the globe.
As such, excellent communication skills and a flexible work approach is needed when working with colleagues with diverse backgrounds.
QualificationsIt is essential that you are qualified to practice law in the UK and that you can ideally demonstrate experience of advising across European jurisdictions.
We are looking for someone who is flexible and motivated to deliver outcomes and with an ability to adapt and be pro-active in an ever-changing environment.
Ideally you would have :
8+ years Post Qualification Experience (note this is a guide only and all candidates who can demonstrate the relevant skill set will be considered).
Demonstrable knowledge of the TUPE / ARD on outsourcing deals.Previous in-house experience (desirable but not essential).
European Language in addition to English (desirable but not essential).Competencies the following behaviours and characteristics are key to success in the role (i) analytical skills (ii) innovation and flexibility (iii) teamwork (iv) attention to detail and quality awareness (v) excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
