Job description
Role responsibilities :
- Lead, coach and develop one direct report, whose primary focus is executing internal associate communications.
- Partner with Lockton’s PR agency to execute the PR strategy and manage the UK and Europe media relations calendar delivering engaging communications to target audiences, including press releases.
- Be the primary internal contact for media enquiries liaising with key stakeholders across the business.
- Support in reactive comms (interviews and media enquiries) collaborating with key stakeholders in business units.
- Optimise crisis communications strategy and serve as communication lead during a crisis.
- Oversee all internal communications and support direct report in the execution and distribution.
- Support Events team in comms for internal and external events
- Support Head of Comms on the day-to-day management of Tate partnership and lead all comms.
- Ensure all content is consistent with the Lockton’s brand voice and messaging and visually consistent with the new look and feel.
- Support Head of Comms with Executive Communications creating monthly content calendar and executing external social comms and associate comms
- Partner with ARG, HR, Lockton Charity Associate, Events team to develop engaging associate communications and well thought through calendar.
- Own monthly reports tracking internal and external KPIs, to continually learn and optimise.
- Partner with Social Media Manager to ensure relevant content is being promoted on social.
Requirements :
- Significant experience in a communications, public relations, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience of delivering high-profile,
effective and strategic PR campaigns and media relations as well as crisis management
- Experience in internal engagement and communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills - including writing and editing engaging content for various audiences in a compelling and accessible manner, adhering to brand guidelines
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
