Stephenson Halliday , an RSK Group company is looking for ambitious Senior Planner and Principal Planners to join the Planning and EIA Team.
This role invites applicants from the South West of England . It is based on a hybrid working model nominally based in our network of offices which includes Bristol .
The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis.
Stephenson Halliday (part of the RSK Group of companies) is currently supporting a number of high-profile organisations to deliver large-scale projects.
We are a well-known and respected consultancy providing planning and landscape services across the UK, particularly in in the Energy, Renewables and Minerals sectors.
Our team members provide services from a network of regional offices, collaborating with colleagues to function as a single planning team across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Supporting and where appropriate acting as Lead for major projects in the energy (predominantly renewables) sector and other major planning applications in England, Scotland and Wales.
- Supporting and where appropriate acting as Lead for the delivery of feasibility studies, planning applications, environmental reviews, and documentation for colleagues across the Stephenson Halliday business.
- Working closely with clients and environmental stakeholders.
- Providing advice on planning matters.
- Leading and supporting the production of proposals and tenders, as well as practice promotion.
- Identifying opportunities and delivering multiple benefits.
Person Specification
- Degree or post graduate level qualified in a relevant discipline and, preferably qualified in Town Planning or a related environmental subject.
- Full membership of RTPI (or working towards attaining this).
- Membership of IEMA, Environmental Practitioner (REnvP) or Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrable ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
- Previous experience of working in a consultancy environment is advantageous.
- An excellent knowledge of the planning process including the current methods, legislation, techniques and guidance which direct the services we provide.
