- Building Relationships :
- Build strong and positive relationships with students, fostering their confidence in written and verbal communication.

- Provide constructive feedback and support to enable students to reach their full potential (individualized learning plans, targeted intervention strategies).
- Cultivate a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages participation, intellectual curiosity, and a love for the English language.
- Assessment and Evaluation :
- Design and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress in reading, writing, speaking and listening skills (formative and summative assessments).
- Provide students with clear, constructive feedback that helps them improve their writing, reading, and analytical skills (written feedback, peer review, self-assessment).
- Extracurricular Activities :
- Contribute to and potentially lead extracurricular activities such as debating clubs, creative writing workshops,

or school publications (depending on your interests and experience). This could involve :
- Leading a school debating society and preparing students for competitions.
- Running creative writing workshops to help students develop their writing skills and explore different genres.
- Contributing to the development and editing of the school's literary magazine.
- School Community :
- Actively participate in departmental and whole-school events, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community. This could involve :
- Attending departmental meetings to discuss curriculum development and share best practices.
- Participating in school-wide events such as literacy weeks, book fairs, or author visits.

- Collaborating with other teachers on cross-curricular projects.

The Ideal Candidate :

- A qualified English teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of literature and language in students of all abilities.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles (differentiation strategies, use of technology).
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, stimulating, and supportive learning environment that fosters a love of learning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to be part of a dynamic school and contribute to its ongoing development.
