Our client is a car dealer group looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their current team.
Working from a centralised accounts department, based in Exeter, you will oversee a team of accounts staff. You will have responsibility for the P&L; of three car dealerships within the local area (some travel between sites will be needed).
You will need to have a full grasp on all aspects of accounts department functions to lead by example, have an in-depth knowledge of motor trade systems.
You will play a key part of the Senior Management team and work closely with General Managers to identify best practice, monitoring KPIs and identifying profit opportunities.
Group Management Accountant Role :
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Prepare regular and timely reports for Managers and Directors on stocks and debtors
Assist with the cash flow situation, credit control, debt collection warranty claims, etc.
Prepare regular bank reports and forecasts
Reconciliation, control and correction of key balance sheet accounts
Assist in the preparation of monthly and year end accounts to a satisfactory level and in accordance with statutory and Company requirements.
Monitor and correct vehicle sales P&I; accounts
Monitor and control Kerridge Autoline error reports
Control of payroll and associated reporting
Ensure high standards of administration and record keeping in compliance with Accounting practice and Company procedures.
Ensure the prompt, smooth and methodical flow of work.
About You :
5-years experience as a management accountant. Motor trade experience is a preference
To be part or fully AAT qualified, or equivalent qualification
To be able to work efficiently to complete your own tasks, as well as motivating your team
To be able to complete larger projects, whilst managing your day-to-day workload
Package :
Basic £55,000 £60,000
