Head of Geography Islington Secondary School September 2024
Role : Head of Geography
Salary : Inner London MPS / UPS (£36,745 - £56,959) plus £5000 Head of Department Allowance
Contract : Full time, Permanent
Location : London Borough of Islington
Start Date : September 2024
We are looking to appoint an inspirational, committed and well-qualified teacher of Geography to lead a thriving and successful department.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Experience of leading a department
- Experience in the design of schemes of work
- Experience of budget-setting and working with budgets
- Experience in the preparation of pupils for external assessment
- Experience in operating as part of a collaborative form teacher team
- A depth of understanding in the relevant subject area
- Excellent preparation and planning
- Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals
- Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback
