Position Overview :
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Geography curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The role entails fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, spatial awareness, and an understanding of the complex interplay between human society and the natural environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and deliver captivating Geography lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
- Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Geography education.
Qualifications and Experience :
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography or a closely related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
