Associate Director - Building SurveyorCobalt Recruitment is working with an exciting multi-disciplinary who are a one stop property shop. They're Surveying arm are experiencing rapid growth and are now seeking an Associate Director - Building Surveyor as part of vision to expand this division. Role overviewLocated in North London, our client is seeking a talented, driven, passionate and proactive Chartered Surveyor or Assoc RICS, with an ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, where no two days are the same and play an integral part within the team.
Responsibilities:Contract Administration under JCT for refurbishment/repair projects. Inspection and defect analysis and reporting. Advise Estates team preparing budgets,
by estimating the cost of planned future works.
Inspection and preparation of CapEX plans, to highlight necessary works over next 10 years. Client-facing meetings, writing up minutes and following up on actions arising. Full Building Survey and HomeBuyers Reports.
Fire Door Inspections and Fire Risk Assessments (training provided as necessary). Requirements:Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.Outstanding good building pathology skills. IT literate and able to complete own administration tasks.
Experienced in JCT Contract Administration project documentation and dealing with contractors. Experienced in specifying methods, materials and quantities and running tender processes. Have an understanding of CDM and the defined role of Principal Designer.
Experienced in running/attending Client meetings and conveying eloquent and clear advice. Have a good understanding of current Building Regulations and Fire Safety Legislation.
Remuneration:70,000 - 80,000 base salary30% of fees billed over targetIf you are interested and have the right skillset, please submit your CV in Word format.
