SEN Teaching Assistant Speech and Language Focus Tower Hamlets
A vibrant primary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant with a focus on supporting children with speech and language difficulties.
Position : SEN Teaching Assistant
Type : Full-time, Temporary
Location : Tower Hamlets
School Information :
The school has a dedicated speech and language programme and works closely with external therapists to support pupils.
They are looking for someone to help implement speech therapy techniques within the classroom.
Responsibilities :
- Provide 1 : 1 and group support for children with speech and language difficulties.
- Use communication tools such as Makaton and PECS.
- Work with external therapists to support language development.
Experience and Qualifications :
- Experience working with children with speech and language difficulties.
- Knowledge of Makaton or similar communication tools.
- DBS check required.
