This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to shape young minds and foster a critical understanding of the world around them.
About the Role :
Design and deliver engaging and informative Humanities lessons across all year groups (consider mentioning specific subjects like History, Geography, etc.
if applicable), adhering to the curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and respectful learning environment that encourages debate, critical analysis, and a deeper understanding of human history, society, and culture.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of core Humanities principles, historical periods, and contemporary issues.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to enhance the curriculum and contribute to school-wide events.
We Seek a Candidate Who :
- Possesses a valid QTS in a Humanities subject (History, Geography, Religious Studies, etc.) or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of Humanities disciplines and a passion for fostering intellectual curiosity in young people.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a diverse learning environment.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and open discussions.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
