Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons to students at the primary or secondary level
- Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for the subject
- Support students in developing their acting and performance skills through activities and exercises
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them reach their full potential
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive drama curriculum
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and performance
- Stay up-to-date with developments in drama education and incorporate new techniques and resources into teaching practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Drama or related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching drama to primary or secondary school students
- Strong knowledge of drama curriculum and assessment methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population
