Hounslow Secondary School seeks a qualified and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving school community.
This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity for a passionate educator to shape young minds and ignite a love for culinary exploration in students of all abilities.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned Food Technology lessons across all year groups.
- Foster a stimulating and safe learning environment that promotes creativity,
a passion for food science and preparation, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Design & Technology department to ensure a cohesive learning experience for students.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a dynamic Food Technology curriculum that meets national standards and fosters student engagement.
- Play a key role in maintaining a well-equipped and safe teaching environment, ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed meticulously.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a closely related subject.
- Possesses a minimum of two years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of delivering effective and engaging Food Technology lessons.
- Exhibits a strong passion for food and the ability to inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrates a collaborative spirit and a commitment to continuous professional development.
