Job description
Semi- Senior Accountant required to join our client in Stockport. This is an opportunity to join a thriving firm that offers scope of long-term career progression for the right individual.
The Semi- Senior Accountant will assist, help and support the directors in managing a portfolio of clients, filing deadlines for year-end accounts and corporation tax returns for clients.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in dealing with bookkeeping, VAT returns, year-end accounts. Experience using Sage, Xero, QuickBooks is preferred.
Semi Senior Accountant Position Overview
- Preparation of year end accounts, financial statements and tax computations
- Preparation of VAT returns for some clients
- Bookkeeping both on client's premises and remotely
- Management of a small portfolio of clients
- Assist with client training on accounting software
- Advising on the improvement of profitability and business efficiency
Semi Senior Accountant Position Requirements
- AAT qualified or studying towards Level 4, or part qualified ACCA / ACA
- Have at least three years' experience and background working for a firm of chartered accountants
- Experience using Sage, Freeagent, Kashflow, Quickbooks and Xero
Semi Senior Accountant Position Remuneration
£22,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependant on skills and experience)
Hybrid working : flexible working in our Stockport office and from home
Part-time or full-time position for the right candidate
