Job description
The HV Supervisor is directly responsible for ensuring that all electricity networks are installed in a safe and professional manner and to a high standard and in line with TRICONNEX Method Statements.
The HV Supervisor should have good knowledge of the different DNO / IDNO standards to ensure conformity. The HV Supervisor is directly responsible to the HV Senior Supervisor.
So, What will I be responsible for?
- To be responsible for the overseeing of HV and LV installations
- To manage and supervise all site personnel
- To assess potentially hazardous and dangerous situations and to take appropriate action so as to ensure the safety of personnel, other site operatives and the general public
- To carry out risk assessments of the workplace
- To carry out audits and inspection of the workplace, tools, equipment and company vehicles
- To prepare switching programmes for approval by another SAP Engineer
- To assist in the testing and commissioning of HV / LV distribution systems
What do you need to have?
- To be considered for this role you must have previous experience with substation installations and a minimum of 2 years experience at AP level. You will also have;
- Strong Knowledge of the Electricity Supply, Quality, Continuity Regulations
- Strong knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations
- Health and Safety at Work Act (Advanced)
- LV Authorised Person
- First Aid (Advanced)
- Risk assessment training (Advanced)
- Incorporated Engineer (preferable)
- Experience in distribution systems through the range 400v to 33kv
- Ability to read schematic drawings and understand content
- Strong proven background within Electrical Engineering
- NRSWA, SMSTS and CSCS / SHEA cards IDNO / DNO in date competences
