OverviewOur client, the owner of a beautiful private estate nestled in the picturesque countryside on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Domestic Couple to join their household team.The role requires a Housekeeper and a Maintenance/Handyperson who will work together to maintain the estate's high standards. The successful couple will be provided with a three-bedroom cottage on the estate and a car for their use.Job duties

Responsibilities of the Housekeeper include:Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the estate's interiors, including daily cleaning, laundry, and ironing

Manage household supplies and ensure that all areas of the estate are kept in pristine condition







Assist with meal preparation and serving when required

Care for fine fabrics, antiques, and other delicate items with attention to detail

Coordinate with other household staff to ensure smooth operation of the estate

Responsibilities of the Maintenance/Handyperson include:Perform general maintenance tasks across the estate, including minor repairs, painting, plumbing, and electrical work

Manage the upkeep of the estate grounds, including gardening, landscaping, and general outdoor care

Ensure the security of the estate, including regular checks and maintenance of security systems

Oversee the maintenance and care of estate vehicles and machinery

Assist with any other tasks as required by the estate owners

Candidates must be/have:Minimum two years of experience as a Domestic Couple within a Private Household/EstateStrong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Ability to work effectively with a wider team,





maintaining open communication and collaborationA proactive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude

Ideally, both candidates have valid driving licences

Flexibility to accommodate the needs of the estateAccommodationA three-bedroom cottage provided on the estate. A car will be provided for work-related duties. HoursFull-time.

Rotation: One week: Monday to Friday, followed by Wednesday to Sunday the next week, with alternating weekends off. Housekeeper Hours: 08:30 - 16:30Maintenance Person Hours: 08:00 - 16:30Overtime and time off in lieu. LocationNear Shaftesbury, on the Dorset/Wiltshire border.
