Salary: Ark Support Scale 1, Point 2 (£22,433 FTE), £6,990 Actual

Ark Ayrton Primary School and Ark Ayrton Nursery is a popular school in the heart of Portsmouth. It has been graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and as part of the Ark network of schools, we are committed to making sure that every child has access to a great education and real choices in life.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated cleaner on a casual contract to cover staff absence. This role will involve taking responsibility for ensuring that the academy is kept clean, tidy and sanitised to maintain an excellent school environment for staff and pupils. The successful candidate will ensure that their work is carried out to the highest possible standard, monitoring and reporting on the condition of each area daily.
The successful candidate will:
· Have experience of cleaning (preferably in a school)
· Be hard working and adaptable to change
· Have good interpersonal skills
· Have an enthusiasm for and an active interest in children’s welfare
· Be able to use their initiative
· Flexible attitude to work and willingness to support colleagues
