Kingdown School is looking to appoint a highly skilled Teacher of Maths to join its passionate and successful Maths Department on a maternity cover contract, with effect from November 2024. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT, who is passionate about helping all young people to believe, aspire and achieve.

Contract: Maternity Cover (effective from November 2024).

Kingdown School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary school and sixth form, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 18 years. Ranked in the top 10 secondary schools in Wiltshire, our school is located in the charming garrison town of Warminster, with excellent links to Salisbury, Bath, Bristol and the South-West. The successful candidate will be able to teach across the full age and ability range, up to A Level is desirable, and will be a team player happy to collaborate and share ideas with other teachers within the Mathematics Department. QTS status is essential for the role.

- Is aware of current initiatives in Maths;
- Is an effective team member who can contribute positively to the work in the Mathematics Department and our school;
- Has a positive, cheerful outlook with a good sense of humour;
- Is able to forge good relationships with students and staff;
- Is able to work hard and remain calm under pressure;
- Has a desire to work within the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) structure.
