Your role:
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic education leader, to work with the Inclusion Service Manager and wider leadership team, to design and develop services that will bring about positive outcomes for attendance and safeguarding across all Wigan schools. You will be a strategic lead for the application of the attendance strategy delivery in Wigan.
Our ideal candidate will ensure that all children are receiving a suitable full-time education and are safeguarded in their settings.
Working within a multi-agency framework and within the statutory guidance Working together to improve school attendance . You will offer strategic leadership both in Wigan and across Greater Manchester, whilst managing the service development to supporting your team.
About you:
You will have a recognised professional qualification in a relevant field such as Education, Social Work, Youth Work, Education law or significant proven relevant experience in one of these fields.
Be able to demonstrate significant knowledge of legislation and statutory guidance. You will have strong leadership skills, be highly motivated, organised and able to make decisions in challenging and complex situations. You will have proven experience of leading robust, effective, services or teams. Your ability to manage complex information and to clearly communicate this with others, including data analysis and concise report writing skills will be essential to support service development and positive outcomes for children.

We work closely with leaders and ensure our partnership supports the children of Wigan.
