Our Pre school room!
Our Pre school room is Explorers and we care for a maximum of 32 children per day between the ages of 30 to 60 months (approximately).
We keep our numbers to a maximum of 32 to ensure we can always provide excellent care for our children allowing keyworkers to spend time with thier children and enjoying there intrests . Pre school have there own garden with a outdoor class room providing lots of space and areas to explore and learn. Our Pre school room has plenty of resources for you to plan exciting activities and there is always room for more so we have a resource budget each month allowing you to add to our existing supplies as well as the opportunity to always add additional items on request.
A bit about us!
Pirates and Princesses Day Nursery is a small family ran day nursery with only 11 members of staff. Pete and Lisa are the owners and managers who opened Pirates and Princesses to bring their childminding business to a bigger setting so they could provide the same level care for more children and their families. Shan and Kerry are Lisa and Pete’s two daughters who both work full time making us a very family ran nursery. We aspire to provide the very best care for our families and are always wanting to improve our facilities and knowledge.
You will have access to online training as well as the opportunity to take part in house whole team training or out of house training. You are asked at each supervision/ appraisal if there is any training you specifically want to do and we book this as soon as possible. This all provides you with plenty of opportunities for your personal development. We have a dedicated staff room and kitchen which are available for your morning break, lunch and afternoon break so you can take a well deserved relaxing rest to help you refuel for more fun! In the staff room and kitchen you have access to your own locker, sofa, table or cosy chair as well as endless supplies of tea,
coffee hot chocolate and treats! You will never have to work over Christmas as we shut early Christmas eve and do not reopen until the new year so you have a long break for festive and family fun – we are also shut every bank holiday! You will have 20 days holiday a year as well as a paid day off on your birthday (or closest day if it falls on a weekend/bank holiday). We supply your polo tops and jumper but you can always order more and all you need to provide is plain black trousers, skirt or shorts whatever you feel comfortable wearing. Every year we get together for a Christmas meal out of the nursery where we invite staff and their partners to join us for yummy food and drink as well as fun staff only games, presents and more yummy food night!
Who we are looking for!
We are looking for a level 3 qualified early years practitioner.
We want someone who will be dedicated to providing the highest quality care when looking after our children! We love to provide lots of activities, making crafts and enjoying sensory tuff trays so you need to enjoy getting involved in these activities as well as songs and dancing but also enjoy having quiet time and reading books!
