Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the national curriculum
- Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and cooperation
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate cross-curricular activities
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in science education and incorporate them into lesson planning
- Participate in parents’ evenings and meetings to discuss student progress and provide support and guidance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching Science at the primary or secondary level
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Science
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse student needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for educating and inspiring students in the field of science
- Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
