Job description
Wayman Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Geography teacher to join a wonderful independent school in Haringey.
This position is available starting in April and offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive educational environment.
As a Geography teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons to students, fostering a passion for the subject and encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the geography curriculum and will be able to create and implement effective lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.

Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to the individual needs and abilities of students.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and motivated.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students and encourage active participation.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement cross-curricular activities and projects.
- Keep accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development workshops.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field.
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Geography to primary / secondary students.
- Strong knowledge of the geography curriculum and current educational trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to professional development and staying up-to-date with best teaching practices.
