Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Science department,
ensuring the delivery of an outstanding Science curriculum
- Provide strategic direction and support to Science teachers, promoting a culture of excellence
- Monitor and evaluate student progress in Science, implementing effective intervention strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching and learning resources
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, upholding the school's values
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's Science program
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and achievements
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Specialization in Science or a related field
- Postgraduate degree in Science or Science Education (preferred)
Experience and Skills :
- Significant experience teaching Science, preferably within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- In-depth knowledge of the Science curriculum and effective teaching methodologies
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in Science education
