A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and ideas driven Science Teacher to work in our Secondary school as Second in the Science department with the role of KS4 coordinator.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within our team and lead the Science curriculum within the academy. You will have a natural flair for delivering creative and vibrant lessons that enthuse and motivate all students to want to learn and achieve.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and work collaboratively with the Head Teacher, SLT team,





and your direct team.

What will your role involve? (Second in Charge of Science)

- Collaborate with the Head of Science to refine the science curriculum, aligning it with national standards.
- Deliver high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, while supporting colleagues in improving their teaching through feedback and coaching.
- Design and implement robust assessment systems to monitor student progress.
- Organise training sessions and mentorship opportunities to enhance the professional development of science teachers, including ECTs.
- Effectively manage departmental resources, ensuring they support the delivery of high-quality science education.
- Identify opportunities for investment in new resources and technologies.
