SEMH Teaching Assistant Wakefield
Do you have experience working with children / young people with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) difficulties?
Prospero Teaching are looking for committed individuals for an SEN School in Wakefield.
The role is to start ASAP.

- Contract Type : Long term
- Hours 08 : 30 3 : 30
- The Minimum Rate of Pay £80 per day.
EXPERIENCE
- Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
- Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and / or social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
- Experience of effectively and positively managing a class and leading learning with groups of pupils, using appropriate strategies to enable them to settle to learn.
- Experience of using restorative practices
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- GCSE English / Maths at grade A to C or equivalent.
- Level 3 qualification.
- Level 4 qualification.
- Specific training in interventions / SEN / SEMH.
- Commitment to all CPD offered.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST :
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional related references
