Job description
A Primary School, based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey are seeking an aspiring Teacher / LSA to join their team ASAP. Full time position.
They are currently seeking Classroom Support Assistant to join their school-based team. As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of our students through the provision of evidence-based psychological assessments, interventions, consultations and support within the classroom.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify learning, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to address identified needs of students.
- Provide support to school staff in relation to student behavior management and academic progress.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Provide support and training to school staff on topics related to mental health and wellbeing, social-emotional learning, and behavior management.
Qualifications and Skills :
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- Knowledge of evidence-based assessment and intervention methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
