Tailored Journeys has been providing exceptional tailor made itineraries to a growing client-base for the past 7 years. Our main focus has been Asia and Africa but we want to be known as specialists to most parts of the world, especially South & North America. We are a young business and therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for someone to grow with the business and and have a big say in the future direction of Tailored Journeys.
We are based in Berkhamsted in Hertfordshire, just 30 minutes from London Euston by train. We have our own ATOL and have established excellent relationships with both, suppliers in the UK and DMCs around the world. We are looking for the right team player(s)
to help us take the 'specialists' tag out in to the market and help create inspiring itineraries for our clients. We have ambitious plans for the next 4 years and looking for the right people to join the team. We believe in flexible working arrangements and looking to create a healthy and happy working environment so this business can move with the times.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Travel Consultant at Tailored Journeys Ltd in Berkhamsted. The Senior Travel Consultant will be responsible for planning and organising travel itineraries, providing expert advice on destinations, accommodations, and travel arrangements. The role can be either homebased or working at our offices in Berkhamsted.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role in the industry, ideally as a tour operator.
- Known as a "travel Specialist" to a certain travel destination or destinations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building client relationships.
- Ability to work independently,
especially if working from home.
- Experience in booking flights, liaising with DMCs, bed banks and flight consolidators
- Ability to work well under pressure and work towards realistic sales targets.
- Customer-focused and deliver exceptional service to ensure repeat business
