We are currently looking for a part time (18 hours per week) Business Support Assistant L2 to join the team.
The part time vacancy provides Business Support to Education & School Business Support Services , and is predominantly a admin role based at Guildhall 2 in Kingston

About the role
The Business Support Assistant is responsible for undertaking administrative duties,working in a team under the supervision of the Business Support Team Leader and at times the Business Support Officer by liaising with service areas within the directorate to ensure that work is completed on time and to the standards stated by the SLA.
The role is hybrid, with an expectation that you operate mainly from the office, with the occasional mix of working from home, depending on work requirements. You will be working closely with other Business Support Officers and as part of a team,
so it will be important for you to form strong working relationships to ensure that you are able to meet the statutory deadlines of the service.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Being the first point of contact for phone calls and schools
- Managing and responding to requests received in the Business Support inbox.
- Fielding telephone calls and messages via emails.
The role will require an individual to have strong admin and digital experience to undertake a range of these functions to ensure that they are providing excellent support to those in the directorate and to our children, young people and their families.

The role is fast paced and you will be required to work with a variety of customers in and outside of Achieving for Children. The ideal candidate would need to have the following attributes:

- Strong administrative skills such as minute taking, managing competing priorities,
being organised and working well in a team.
Important Information
Internal start dates: Start dates will be agreed once all pre-transfer checks are completed. The usual transfer date will be in line with employees contracts unless agreement is reached between the existing and new line manager.
Pre-transfer checks: Internal moves are subject to satisfactory references being provided.
