Job Title: Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools
Location: Sheffield
Salary Range: £95 to £110 per day (Depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education South Yorkshire are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join secondary schools across Sheffield.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing classrooms in the absence of a teacher, ensuring students complete their assigned work and stay on task. You will help maintain a positive learning environment, support students' learning needs, and manage behaviour effectively.
This role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain hands-on experience in education and develop key skills for a future career in teaching.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes and ensure students remain focused on their work.
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
- Assist students with queries related to their tasks.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behaviour.
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:
- Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and classroom management abilities.
- Confidence in engaging with students and maintaining discipline.
- Ability to follow set lesson plans and ensure learning continues in the teacher's absence.
- Flexibility to cover various subjects and year groups.
- A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
