Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Bournville, Birmingham
Duration: Full-time
Salary: £85-£98 per day (depending on experience)
About the School and Role:
A leading school in Bournville, Birmingham, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This full-time position will run until the end of the academic year. As an Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will provide crucial support to students across various key stages, including Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), offering both group and one-on-one assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with classroom behaviour management.
Provide tailored support to students needing individual attention.
Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) as necessary.
Promote student independence and emotional well-being.
Collaborate closely with teachers and staff to enhance educational support.
Requirements:
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching and Learning or Childcare.
Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities.
Level 1 safeguarding certificate (training can be arranged).
Recent and relevant references.
Valid photo ID (Driving Licence or Passport).
Enhanced DBS on the update service (new DBS can be processed).
