Learning Support Assistant – ADHD Focus – Redbridge
A school in Redbridge is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a focus on supporting students with ADHD. This role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, helping students manage attention challenges and succeed in their academic journey.

Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ADHD, helping them manage attention and focus in the classroom.
- Assist teachers in adapting lessons and materials to meet the individual needs of students with ADHD.
- Help students develop strategies to manage their behaviour, stay on task, and engage in learning activities.
- Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers, parents, and the SEN team.
- Support positive behaviour and help students build social skills and self-confidence.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with ADHD or similar attention-related challenges in a school or care setting.
- Strong understanding of ADHD and strategies to support students with attention and behaviour management.
- A patient, supportive, and adaptable approach to working with students who require additional assistance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents.
- Relevant qualifications in SEN support or teaching assistance are desirable.
- A DBS check is required.
