Senior Occupational Therapy Assistant - Lateral Move
Adult Social Care
Grade 4 - £32,076 - £39,186
Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review
Working 36.5 hours per week

About the role
Using your understanding of the aspirations of the people who use our services and their carers, your focus will be on completing assessments make recommendations that enable citizens to maximise their quality of life.
Arranging the appropriate service provision,
your role will include working with other agencies to reduce barriers to social inclusion and achieve solutions that meet individual citizens’ needs. You will explore provision of simple and specialist equipment, minor adaptations and the provision of major adaptation, along with supporting with other aspects under the Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy team portfolio. This post would suit someone with hands-on experience in manual handling of people.

About you
We’d like you to bring:
- Experience of working with elderly or disabled citizens, either in a professional or voluntary capacity.
- Understanding of equal opportunity and diversity issues.
- Experience of report writing and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Readiness to work flexibly across different projects across the city
- Excellent work ethic, working continually at a fast pace
- Ability to engage in difficult and sensitive conversations with citizens and their representatives
- Team worker and also able to work with autonomy
