Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary Range: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education Southampton Branch are thrilled to unveil an exciting opportunity for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant at a nurturing and inclusive school in Hedge End!
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing personalised assistance to help them thrive in their learning environment.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Offer individual and small group support to students with special educational needs, helping them connect with the curriculum.
- Help carry out Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address each student's specific needs.
- Work together with teachers and support staff to build a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Keep track of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents to support their growth.
- Build positive relationships with students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices and legal requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting all students.
- Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
