We're seeking a trend-driven creative with a keen eye for the latest styles of outerwear and leisurewear for girls, with a solid understanding of the UK high street.
This is a great opportunity to join a thriving company, you'll have the opportunity to design for leading UK and international brands, bringing fresh ideas and vibrant aesthetics to their girlswear collections.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Designing commercial Outerwear and Leisurewear ranges for girls
- Being aware of current trends and producing mood/direction boards.
- Preparing design/factory packs and artwork for sampling
- Working closely with the Sales team, attending meetings at Retail and presenting cads/samples to buyers.
- Following designs from first sample stage through to production.
- Keeping up to date with fashion trends including colours and shapes.
- Maintaining the company identity and developing their product portfolio.
- Delivering products on budget.
- Liaising with overseas factories.
Person Specifications:
- You must have at least 3 years designing girlswear with an outerwear and leisurewear background
- Must be commercial
- You will have a Good technical understanding of outerwear and leisurewear
- Strong organisational skills , experience dealing with fabric sourcing and management of work flow for samples
- Knowledge of working with sampling in China beneficial
- Commercially savvy with excellent on-trend knowledge.
- Fully computer literate in Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong CAD and Tech pack skills
