Are you an experienced Children / Adult Social Worker?
Are you looking for a role outside the normal working hours?
Yes?
Randstad are currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Stockport Council's Out of Hours team. This is a full time role, offering £38 per hour.
Current full time rota as follows -
- Week 1 - Monday 4.30pm-12.30am / Tuesday 8.30pm-8.30am / Wednesday 8.30pm-8.30am / Sunday 8.30am-8.30pm
- Week 2 - Monday 8.30pm-8.30am / Thursday 8.30pm-8.30am / Saturday 8.30am-8.30pm / Sunday 4.30pm-12.30am
- Week 3 - Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8.30pm-8.30am
- Week 4 - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 4.30pm-12.30am
Benefits :
- Mainly remote working - You would be office based until 8.30pm and then working from home after this. So basically the night shifts are completely at home with the expectation they will need to go out when needed.

Responsibilities :
- The OOH service provides an effective and timely response to urgent notifications that occur outside usual business hours that identify a child or adult as vulnerable and at risk of harm.
- You will join a well-established, highly experienced team of Social Workers to perform this statutory social care function who benefit from Team Manager Support as well as On Call Service Lead support.
- Activity includes statutory social work functions such as Section 47 investigations, decision making, safeguarding adult investigations, placement of children (including pace beds) and adults in residential care, completion of welfare visits and checks.
- You will be provided with a solo protect device, which offers you personal security.
Requirements :
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS
- Social Work England registered
