Job description

We have just been approached by our NHS Teaching Hospital in Yorkshire to help recruit them a ST3+ and a SHO in Emergency Assessment Unit, both on NHS Fixed Term contracts of at least 12 months or on a permanent basis.

Our client is one of the largest and busiest Trusts in Yorkshire, with this teaching hospital NHS Foundation Trust providing a comprehensive range of acute hospital and specialist healthcare services for approximately 800,000 people living within the area.

In particular, Our client is to benefit from a £40 million share of funding, following a successful bid by the Trust for capital investment and as a result the funding will be used for such things,





as enabling the creation of a Combined Emergency Assessment Unit, where staff from a range of medical specialties can work side-by-side in a single assessment area, close to the front door and diagnostic support.

EAU work alongside the Emergency Department, taking many patients who can be seen and treated in the same day or the following day, without the need to provide a hospital admission.

EAU combines the functions of same day emergency care unit, frailty assessment unit and Emergency department CDU and is located on an adjacent ward area.

The department is currently undergoing an exciting £47 million pound project to offer high quality modern facilities and designed to create the best environment to care for our patients.

Our client offers the best of both worlds, working in a beautiful, vibrant seaside coast with local industries such as agriculture, fishing and tourism along with close transport links to major cities such as Manchester & Leeds.
