Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic PE lessons to students of varying abilities and age groups
- Develop and implement appropriate physical education programs in line with the national curriculum
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement
- Promote and encourage active participation and a personal commitment to physical fitness among students
- Organize and lead extracurricular sports activities and events, including inter-school competitions and sports clubs
- Collaborate with other teachers and support staff to create a cohesive and well-rounded educational experience
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student achievement and attendance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching PE in a primary or secondary school setting
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and educational standards for physical education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- A passion for physical fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyle
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
