UK Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Lead

We are searching for a UK Diversity Equity & Inclusion Lead (DEI), who can make a positive difference to our UK employee experience.

WHAT IS YOUR JOB PURPOSE?







Based in London you will report to the UK Country Head & drive the GSK’s UK DEI agenda by understanding & anticipating the internal & external DEI landscape & emerging concepts to identify future challenges and opportunities.

Using your DEI expertise & data driven insights, diagnose and design impactful approaches and programmes and by working closely with our global & US DEI teams & a broad range of internal and external stakeholders you will deliver high quality DEI programmes to enable GSK to achieve its DEI ambitions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Overseeing the UK DEI strategy, working with leaders at all levels of the organization & tanslating this to developing & implementing DEI programs with a project management lens : Oversee Project Search, a program running for 10 years, changing lives for young people with disabilities, to bridge their transition from education to the workplace.







We provide a year’s internship at GSK to gain work experience & further education to increase employability.Leading matrix teams to deliver DEI benchmark submissions for key accreditations such as Times Top 50 employers for gender equality, Business Disability Forum etc.

Leading a team to prepare for & deliver our annual UK DEI Inclusion Award Ceremony.

Staying current on internal & external DEI landscape & emerging concepts you will identify future challenges and opportunities and by using your DEI expertise & data driven insights, diagnose, design & deliver impactful DEI approaches and programmes for the UK.

For example conducting deep dives into key areas such as neurodiversity, social mobility, pregnancy loss & menopause which have resulted in new policy & guidance.







Partner with key HR stakeholders such as Global & US DEI teams & Recruitment to support GSK’s global DEI & UK ambitions for example : our Self-ID campaign to improve our UK protected characteristics data, which will influence future talent management planning.

In support of GSK’s global trust commitment of aspirational targets to increase female & ethnically diverse senior leadership in UK & US, working with senior HR leaders to drive our UK pipeline.

Working with Policy team to review new policies with a DEI lens.Partner with recruitment to ensure GSK maintains inclusive unbiased processes.

Partnering with DEI Groups across the UK : partnering & governing our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) representing Gender, Ethnicity, LGBTQ+ and Disability.







Overseeing & driving an intersectional approach & monitoring budget spend; leading a UK DEI Community of practice, bringing the key DEI business & HR together to share activities, best practice, knowledge & events.

- Representing GSK at external bodies e.g. the Department for Work & Pensions Business Leader Group advising on Disability practices and the Disability Confident scheme.
- Utilising GSK tools and partnering with data teams to conduct regular DEI data analysis of internal activity and prepare regular measurement and insights.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE WILL YOU HAVE?

- Experience of working in DEI roles in large & highly matrixed, cross border, cross cultural organisation.
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- Recognised expertise in DEI with strong external DEI networks,





credibility and ability to pull on this network to provide insight to GSK DEI agenda and the ability to bring the expertise to life’ for stakeholders.
- Experience translating business needs & external emerging concepts into DEI solutions by setting direction, objectives, targets and metrics delivering against demanding targets and meeting criteria of time, cost, quality and performance and providing the analysis and performance results of such solutions.
- Strong communicator - written and verbal - and exceptional at collaborating with colleagues at all levels & the ability to develop high quality recommendations.
- Experience of translating complex DEI data into meaningful narratives that will inform our DEI strategy, decision-making and tracking program success.
