Responsibilities
- Create and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the national curriculum
- Engage and motivate students to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for science
- Assess and evaluate students' progress through regular formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive learning environment and provide differentiated instruction
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom where students feel supported and respected
- Establish effective communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and other school-related activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification
- Proven experience teaching science to primary / secondary students
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and relevant teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and differentiated lesson plans
- Effective classroom management skills
- Enthusiasm for science and a commitment to inspiring student learning
