Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students in the subject of History
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes personal and academic growth
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging curriculum materials and strategies
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required
- Keep abreast of educational developments and best practices in the field of History teaching
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification
- Proven experience teaching History at the primary or secondary level
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the History curriculum and relevant teaching methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love for History among students
